FHS Prefabricated Houses offers two construction systems: The “Metal Frame” system and the “Self-Supporting Wall” system
What does the “Metal Frame” system mean?
The lightweight “Metal Frame” structure is used in all types of homes, roofs, and extensions for the European market.
These homes meet the highest quality standards and comply with the Spanish Building Code (CTE) for both the Spanish and European markets.
It is a conventional construction system in Spain and throughout the rest of the world where it is commonly used.
What are the advantages over other construction methods?
A high-quality, top-tier result. The structure is made with galvanized steel profiles. Metal allows for the easy creation of any architectural style, regardless of complexity.
It’s environmentally friendly, as steel is 100% recyclable. Dry construction minimizes environmental impact. No chemical treatment is required. It offers very high thermal and acoustic performance.
It’s economical, as construction and manufacturing are very fast. The lightweight construction reduces the need for foundations. The metal structure provides high-performance thermal insulation.
What does the “Self-Supporting Wall” system mean?
The structure will consist of steel beams and supports, as determined by structural calculations, with cladding made of multi-layer steel panels with a high-density polyurethane core, providing load-bearing and highly insulating properties. The floor slab and accessible roof will be constructed using composite steel decking with a reinforced concrete compression layer.
Generally, interior partitions will be made of plasterboard, specifically Pladur-type partitions consisting of Pladur metal 100/600 (43)N partitions made of a 15mm thick plasterboard panel, a 43mm vertical stud with a 40mm thick rock wool layer, and another plasterboard panel on the back. In cases where the partitions are structurally load-bearing, they will be 6cm thick metal panels with a polyurethane core, with Pladur or similar material on each side.
In humid areas, plasterboard partitions 122/400(46+46)WA-WA, formed by a layer of WA plasterboard (e=15 mm), two 46mm vertical studs with a layer of rock wool (e=40mm) and another layer of WA plasterboard (e=15mm).
Advantages of the “Self-Supporting Wall” system over other construction methods:
Cheaper, faster, with fantastic polyurethane insulation—the same insulation used in refrigerators. But the difference is that refrigerators have 3 cm thick walls, while our houses have 10 cm. Dry construction to avoid environmental impact. Economical and very fast.

The gutters and downpipes are made of WAVIM PVC, aluminum or copper.
Technical data of the house:
Electrical installation, according to the revised standards, water and sewage, without external connections, heating to the customer’s taste, welded with thermal insulation.
